Terms of Service
The terms for using our website and our AI phone agent and local SEO services.
Last updated October 14, 2026. Local Voice is operated by Social Uptick LLC.
The short version. Plans are month to month. Cancel by email with 30 days' notice. The setup fee comes back if we can't get your agent live, unless we're waiting on you. Months already billed aren't refunded.
Our agents tell every caller they are automated and that the call may be recorded. You stay responsible for your business and for following the laws that apply to your calls.

Who these terms are with
Local Voice is operated by Social Uptick LLC, a Missouri limited liability company based in St. Louis, Missouri. In these terms, "Local Voice," "we" and "us" mean Social Uptick LLC. "You" means the person or business using our website or services.
By using mylocalvoice.io or buying from us, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you sign a quote or service agreement with us, it is part of these terms. Where the two differ, the signed quote or agreement wins.
Using our website
Our articles, research and tools are for general information. We cite a source for every figure we publish, but studies get updated and we can make mistakes. Check a figure at its source before you rely on it.
The missed call calculator gives an estimate, not a promise of what you'll earn or save. Nothing on the site is legal, tax or financial advice.
Please don't use the site to break the law, send spam, copy our content in bulk or interfere with how the site works. You may quote and link to our research with credit to Local Voice and a link to the page.
We link to other websites. We don't control them and aren't responsible for them.
Our services
We offer two services to local businesses. You can buy one or both.
AI phone agents. We build an agent that answers your calls in your business name, answers common questions, books appointments on your calendar and hands off urgent calls. Calls are recorded and transcribed so you can see what was said.
Local SEO. We work on your Google Business Profile, listings and local pages, and send a monthly report.
Your quote lists your plan, price, included minutes and anything else that's specific to you.
How the phone agent works
You keep your business number. You forward calls to the agent during the hours you choose. Any forwarding number we set up for the agent belongs to our account and is released when your service ends.
At the start of every call, the agent says it is an automated assistant and that the call may be recorded. We won't remove that disclosure.
Agents answer incoming calls. We don't place marketing calls or send marketing texts for you.
The agent is not an emergency service. It can't contact 911 or emergency responders. If a caller describes an emergency, the agent follows the transfer and alert rules you give us, and you are responsible for acting on them.
What we need from you
Accurate information about your business, services, prices, hours and rules. The agent repeats what you tell us, so tell us when something changes.
Access to the calendar, scheduling software and accounts the work depends on.
Call forwarding set up on your phone system, and turned back off when you want the agent to stop.
A person who checks the bookings, alerts and summaries the agent sends.
Your legal responsibilities
You run your business, and you are responsible for following the laws that apply to it. That includes:
Call recording laws. Some states require every person on a call to agree to recording. The agent's disclosure helps, but you are responsible for making sure recording is allowed where you and your callers are.
Text message laws. If the agent texts your callers, you confirm you have the consent the law requires, and you let us register your texting with the phone carriers in your business name.
Industry rules. If your industry has its own privacy or recordkeeping rules, check that the service fits them before you use it. The service is not set up for health information protected by HIPAA, so don't use it to collect that.
Your own privacy policy. It should tell your callers that calls may be recorded and that you use service providers to answer them. If the agent texts your callers, it also needs the text message language the carriers require.
AI has limits
AI agents can mishear a caller, give a wrong answer or book the wrong time. We test every agent before it goes live. After launch, we read the transcripts and fix what we find. We can't promise the agent will be right on every call or that every call will connect. Phone carriers, internet providers and the platforms we build on can have outages we don't control.
Check the bookings and summaries the agent sends you. Don't let the agent give advice that needs a license, such as legal, medical or insurance advice.
Local SEO results
Google decides how businesses rank. We can't guarantee rankings, calls or reviews. Fixes to your profile and listings can show up quickly. Ranking in new towns takes longer. Your monthly report shows what we did and what changed.
Your Google Business Profile, website and accounts stay yours. We ask for manager access, not ownership.
Fees and billing
Setup fee. A one-time fee, billed before we start building. Our current setup fee is $500 unless your quote says otherwise.
Monthly fee. Billed in advance each month. Plans start at $397 a month for 500 minutes of agent time. Your quote sets your price.
Extra minutes. Minutes over your plan are billed at the rate in your quote on your next bill. Unused minutes don't carry over to the next month.
Payment. You authorize us to charge your card or account each month until your service ends.
Taxes. Prices don't include sales tax. We add it where the law requires.
Failed payments. If a payment fails, we'll email you. If it isn't fixed within 10 days, we may pause your service until it is.
Price changes. We'll email you at least 30 days before your price changes.
Cancellation
Plans are month to month. There is no long-term contract.
To cancel, email support@mylocalvoice.io. Your service and billing stop 30 days after we receive your email. If that date falls partway through a billing month, your last bill covers only the days up to it.
When service ends, turn off call forwarding to the agent. We turn the agent off and delete your call recordings and transcripts within 90 days. If you want copies, ask before your service ends.
We can end your service with 30 days' notice by email. We can end it right away if a payment is more than 10 days late, or if you use the service to break the law or abuse callers or our team.
Refunds
If we can't get your agent live, we refund your setup fee in full. This doesn't apply if the launch is held up for more than 30 days while we wait on information or access from you.
Monthly fees that have already been billed are not refunded.
Guides and digital products
When you buy a guide, you get a license to use it in your own business. You can't resell it, share the file or post its contents publicly.
Guides are delivered right away, so sales are final. If your file won't open or is missing pages, email us within 14 days. We'll send a working copy or refund you.
Who owns what
You own your business information, your call recordings and transcripts, your accounts and your business phone number. You let us use them to provide the service to you. We don't use your recordings or transcripts to train AI models.
We own our website, research, guides, templates and methods, including the agent instructions we write.
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
Confidentiality
We keep your business information, call recordings and transcripts private. We share them only with the providers that run the service, when the law requires it, or as our Privacy Policy otherwise allows. We'll ask before we name you as a client or publish a case study about your results.
Text message terms
These terms cover the Local Voice appointment text program. They apply to texts we send, and to texts sent for a client business that uses a Local Voice agent.
You get texts only after you ask for them or agree to get them, for example by saying yes when an agent offers a text confirmation.
Texts include appointment confirmations, reminders and replies to your questions. Message frequency varies.
Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to stop texts. Reply HELP for help, or email support@mylocalvoice.io.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle phone numbers. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
Disclaimers
We provide the website and services "as is." To the extent the law allows, we make no promises beyond the ones written in these terms and your quote. That includes any implied promise that the service fits a particular purpose or will run without errors.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows:
We aren't liable for indirect damages, such as lost profits or lost jobs. That includes damages from a missed call or a wrong booking.
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
Your promise to cover us
If someone makes a claim against us because of what you told us to say or do, the information you gave us, or your failure to follow the laws in these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim, including legal fees.
Disputes
If something goes wrong, email us first. We'll try to sort it out within 30 days.
Missouri law governs these terms. Any lawsuit must be brought in the state or federal courts located in St. Louis, Missouri, and both of us agree to those courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. For clients, changes take effect 30 days after we email you, unless the law requires a change sooner. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the new terms.
Other terms
These terms, your quote and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us.
If a court finds part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
You can't transfer your account to someone else without our OK. We can transfer these terms if we sell or reorganize our business.
Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by events outside our control, such as carrier outages, platform outages or natural disasters.
We send notices by email to the address you gave us. Send yours to support@mylocalvoice.io.
